BidBill (the "App") is an app for creating estimates and invoices. It is published by Chebulaev Oleg Valerevich, an individual developer ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy, write to chebulaev.oleg@gmail.com.
Everything you enter in the App is saved only on your iPhone and is never sent to us:
We cannot see, access or recover this data. The only parts of it that ever leave your iPhone are described in "One exception: client address for the map" and "AI Estimates".
To show a client's address on a map in the client card, the App sends that street address, without the client's name or any other details, to Apple's mapping service, which returns its map coordinates. The coordinates are saved on your device, so the same address is not sent again. Without an internet connection the map is simply not shown. Apple handles this request under its own privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
The App uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google.
What is collected:
These events never contain amounts, names, document numbers, addresses or any other content of your documents or client records.
Why: to understand which features are used and to find and fix crashes.
What we do not do: this data is not linked to your identity. The App does not collect your device's advertising identifier, ad personalization is turned off, and the data is not used for advertising or for tracking you.
Who processes it: Google, as our service provider. Google describes how Firebase handles data here: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
How to stop it: turn off Settings → Share Analytics. Analytics stop right away; crash reporting stops from the next time you open the App.
The App offers optional Pro and Premium subscriptions. Payment is handled by Apple through your Apple ID: we never receive your payment card or your Apple ID login. To check and restore subscriptions, the App uses Apphud, a service provided by Apphud Inc. The App connects to Apphud each time it starts, to find out which plan you are on, even if you have never subscribed.
What Apphud receives:
Apphud receives your IP address when the App connects to it.
Why: to confirm and restore your subscription and unlock your plan in the App, and to see subscription statistics, such as how many free trials turn into paid subscriptions.
What we do not do: this data is not linked to your name, email or any other identity, because the App has no accounts. Apphud never receives your business profile, clients, price list or documents. The App does not collect your device's advertising identifier, and subscription data is not used for advertising or for tracking you.
Who processes it: Apphud Inc., as our service provider. Apphud describes how it handles data here: https://apphud.com/legal/privacy. Apple processes your payment under its own privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
How to stop it: the App needs this to know which plan you are on, so Share Analytics does not turn it off. You can stop it only by deleting the App. You can cancel a subscription itself in your Apple ID account settings.
AI Estimates is an optional feature of the Premium plan. It creates a draft estimate from a job description you write and your price list. Nothing is sent unless you tap Generate.
What is sent, only when you tap Generate:
What is never sent: your prices, your clients, your estimates, invoices and totals, or your business profile.
Who processes it: your request goes to our backend on Google Firebase (Cloud Functions, in the U.S.), then to our AI gateway RouterAI, which passes it to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write the draft. They act as our service providers. Your request is not used to train AI models.
What we keep: our servers do not store your request or your price list, and our logs do not contain the content of requests. While your subscription is active we keep a usage counter, made of the subscription's App Store original transaction ID and the number of generations per day and per month, to apply the fair-use limit of the feature. The counter is not linked to your name, email or any other identity, and we delete it on request: write to chebulaev.oleg@gmail.com. We also keep operational logs without the content of requests (a hashed subscription identifier, the trade, item counts, token usage, app version and duration) for 30 days in Google Cloud Logging. Google's infrastructure also records the IP address of requests.
Please do not include customer names, phone numbers or addresses in your request. Before you use the feature for the first time, the App asks for your consent. You can decide not to use it: the rest of the App works without it.
To add your logo, the App uses the system photo picker. To fill in a client from your contacts, it uses the system contact picker. In both cases the App receives only the photo or contact you pick, keeps it on your device, and never uploads it. The App does not get access to the rest of your photo library or address book.
The App is meant for business use by adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
California and other U.S. states. Privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising. We hold no personal data about you on our servers: your business data stays on your device, and analytics, subscription records and the AI usage counter are not linked to your identity. You can turn analytics off in Settings → Share Analytics. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Users outside the U.S. If laws such as the EU or UK GDPR apply to you, you have similar rights, including the right to object to analytics. The legal basis for analytics and crash reports is our legitimate interest in keeping the App working and improving it, and you can object by turning off Share Analytics. The legal basis for processing your purchases through Apphud is providing the subscription you bought, and our legitimate interest in checking which plan applies. The legal basis for AI Estimates is performance of the service you request when you tap Generate. When you choose to use AI Estimates, your request is transferred to processors outside the EU and the UK. To ask a question or make a request, including a deletion request, email chebulaev.oleg@gmail.com. Because analytics and subscription data are not linked to your identity, we may not be able to find records that relate to you.
Your business data stays on your iPhone until you delete it or delete the App. It is protected by the security of your device, including iOS data encryption when your iPhone is locked with a passcode. The App does not back up or sync your data. If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, that backup may include the App's data, under your own Apple account.
Google keeps event-level analytics data and crash reports for a limited time under Firebase's standard retention settings.
Our servers keep the AI Estimates usage counter while the subscription is active and delete it on request, and keep operational logs without request content for 30 days. Apphud keeps subscription records for as long as it needs them to provide its service to us and to meet its legal obligations, as described in its privacy policy.
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version with a new effective date and include it in an update of the App. If a change is significant, we will point it out in the App.
